Cowardly N.J. Dems try to sneak assisted suicide bill

By Matt Rooney | The Save Jersey Blog

These Trenton creeps never cease to amaze me, Save Jerseyans.

After 5:00 p.m. on Monday (11/10), Assembly Democrats quietly added A2270 to the voting schedule board for November 13th.

The kicker? Tomorrow, Tuesday November 11th, is Veterans Day sooooo state offices are closed and your phone calls will fall on deaf ears until Wednesday morning… by design…

That little maneuver is right out of the Obamacare pssage playbook and it should tick you off regardless of where you come down on this hyper-emotional issue (though I would strongly urge you to consider both the logical deficiencies and irony at work here on the pro-suicide side of the argument).

Governor Christie previously promised to veto assisted suicide legislation but it’s worth repeating: this bill is FATALLY flawed (no pun intended) as our friend Marie Tasy of New Jersey Right to Life (NJRTL) has convincingly argued. Its backers are manipulating vulnerable people like Brittany Maynard – and playing games with human life – without giving YOU sufficient opportunity to weigh in before someone in a white jacket starts shoving pills down grandma’s throat after gaining her “consent.”

Good-intentioned supporters outside the political world don’t always appreciate the dangerous power imbalances

My advice? You can find your legislators’ contact info here. Once you’ve figured out who they are via that link, head over the Facebook and start posting your opposition there… social media doesn’t take a day off!

  1. Cowardly and greedy Republicans who always preach freedom from government interference in personal choices are certainly showing their hypocrisy now. Assisted suicide is humane and the funding for it is minuscule.
