11th hour diss by would-be Christie donor?

Governor Christie might shock pollsters and pull out an upset with GOTV grit in the middle of a snowstorm, Save Jerseyans, but some key Republican donors aren’t betting on it.

A key GOP money man courted by the Christie campaign, Spencer Zwick, is best known to inner circle members and professional political observers as the guy who chaired Mitt Romney’s 2008 and 2012 campaigns.

This year? According to a published report, he allegedly reneged on a $2,700 contribution to Christie and elected instead of neutrality.

At the last official reporting, the Christie campaign and its affiliates had less than $5 million on hand. His Bridgegate lawyers’ firm has reportedly stepped in to fill the gap of departing mega-donors.
