Cory Booker delivered a red meat liberal address on Monday night packed with plenty of negativity, Save Jerseyans, declaring America’s founding documents “saddled with the bigotry of the past” and attacking Donald Trump’s Atlantic City track record notwithstanding his own disastrous reign in Newark.
It was loud, long, and light on substance. In other words, it was exactly what we’ve come to expect from our junior senator!
The Donald, fresh out of his convention, offered a critique of Booker’s speech via Twitter:
If Cory Booker is the future of the Democratic Party, they have no future! I know more about Cory than he knows about himself.

Another New Jersey-centric storyline from the night? Chris Christie’s past comments on Donald Trump’s mockery of a handicapped NYT reporter made it into a DNC video shown to delegates on the floor.
