This weekend the Tea Party held a rally at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, NJ. The rally, only being advertised for a few weeks and having a high cost of entry, was much smaller than those Beck usually headlines. A few thousand Tea Party members attended the event, with the crowd shrinking a bit by the time Beck made his appearance at 7:00PM.
Beck made his usual speech about restoring honor, protecting America, etc.. What I found to be notable was Beck’s honorable mention of the Governor of our great state.
I would love to meet Chris Christie . . . You want a leader? Don’t worry about waistline . . . worry about their spine.
Here in New Jersey, the union bosses tell Chris Christie, ‘So I guess you’re gonna shut down the government?’
‘Yep. I guess so. I’m going to have some pizza and beer. I’ll be at the mansion if you want to get serious . . .
With many self-proclaimed conservatives who attempt to co-opt the Tea Party movement (I’m looking at you Mayor Lonegan) constantly trying to depict Governor Christie as a RINO, its refreshing to see such a prominent face in the movement recognize Christie for what he truly is: a conservative who is turning around the fiscal disaster that was New Jersey.
