Olbermann Suspended from MSNBC

Loud, annoying, and mostly irrelevant MSNBC pundit Keith Olbermann has been indefinitely suspended, without pay, from MSNBC for violating their ethics code by making substantial contributions to three Democrat candidates in the latest election cycle.

Olbermann made maximum individual contributions to Kentucky Senate loser Jack “Aqua Buddha” Conway, and Arizona Democrat incumbents Raul Grijalva and Gabrielle Giffords. These donations were against NBC policy, which requires all news employees to obtain permission from the company before making large, reportable contributions of any kind.

This all occurred after Olbermann had been openly critical of New Corp.’s (the parent company of Fox News) $1 Million contribution to the Republican Governor’s Association. He went so far as to even press Rep. James Clyburn to evoke some sort of “legislative response” to the contribution.

The saddest part about this turn of events is that Olbermann’s suspension wont be a less to pundits anywhere simply because no one will even know that his show wont be airing. When your ratings are so far down the tubes as his, the best Olbermann and MSNBC can hope for is that this controversy might steer some viewers their way temporarily. But c’mon…yeah right.
