Wisniewski: Our Map Defied Reality, Thats Why We Won

John Wisniewski, also known as the guy who sends out press release emails that are far too long, boring, and asinine to ever read in one sitting, came out this afternoon to gloat about the Democrat’s unfortunate victory in the redistricting process.

According to Wisniewski, the Democrat map managed to defy any version of reality or logic. Almost in one breath the Democrat Chairman said,

“We have minimized incumbency disruption”

Only to be immediately followed by,

“the Democrats’ map is simultaneously a competitive map.”

So let me get this straight? The Democrats made a map that somehow protects incumbents from ever losing in the next ten years barring some huge political upheaval or massive migration, but also creates an atmosphere of competition in a state where Republicans enjoy over 52% of the statewide electorate’s vote but somehow cannot win more than one a seat in the Assembly or Senate? I am not sure that I have ever seen someone talk out of both sides of their mouth with such ease.

And to think, for the next ten years we may be stuck with people like this running our state.

  1. The people of NJ are tired. We are tired of being overtaxed and overburdened with corruption and out of control State spending. We will be moving out of this state in droves if the democrats retain power and the only thing they will be in charge of is a dying State

  2. Waaaa….the map is unfair to the red team…waaaaa….

What a bunch of whiners. Please anyone wanting to leave the state…make sure you turn the lights off when you go. See ya!

  3. Redistricting is an undemocratic process no matter which party gets their way, and I'd be in favor of seeing the Constitution amended to get rid of it.

Rick, smart comment. It's a fact that people are leaving the state already because of high taxes. So the remaining few that are left will have a higher tax burden and fewer services. But I'm sure you libs can afford it.
