The latest round of polling suggests that Speaker Gingrich’s modest but significant lead may be evaporating in the balmy Sunshine State. If he loses, Governor Romney regains the momentum and has a clear advantage as the race goes national. However, if Gingrich holds on and wins, the long war may be unavoidable. Much blood and treasure will be lost along the road to the convention.
