Kyrillos Receives Backing of U.S. Chamber

Joe Kyrillos has received the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s nod in his battle to unseat incumbent Bob Menendez in this year’s New Jersey U.S. Senate contest.

The happy news came out earlier today during a media conference call. Rob Engstrom, the U.S. Chamber’s Senior Vice President and National Political Director, praised Kyrillos’s support of pro-business economic policies in the Garden State:

“New Jersey is leading the country’s efforts for fiscal responsibility at the state level, but we need leaders in Washington willing to make tough financial decisions as well. New Jersey voters have a clear choice between the candidates on issues that will create jobs and spur growth. State Senator Joe Kyrillos has consistently prioritized free enterprise, while Senator Menendez has a record of failure on economic issues—having only voted with the business community 38% of the time.

“As a leader in the State Senate, Kyrillos helped turn things around for New Jersey and will advance legislation that encourages economic growth, job creation, and a less intrusive federal government in Washington. The U.S. Chamber is proud tostand with him in his campaign for United States Senate.”

Senator Kyrillos rolled out his 7-point jobs plan last week.
