New Website Ties Democrat Incumbent Buono to the Perennially Unpopular Former Governor

The New Jersey GOP and its affiliates have been running at Jon Corzine as a way of defining the little known Barbara Buono for weeks now; today, its comms team is taking that effort to the next level by launching the first major web salvo of Election 2013 in the form of an “attack” site.
Visit corzinedemocrats.com and you’ll find a digital clock “[c]ounting the days that Corzine Democrats have blocked a tax cut for New Jersey’s middle and working class families.”
“With New Jersey families among the most overtaxed in the nation, only the Corzine Democrats in Trenton would block bipartisan efforts to cut taxes for our state’s middle and working class families,” said State Party Spokesman Ben Sparks. “The NJGOP will be keeping count and making it crystal clear to New Jersey families of every day, hour, minute, and second that Corzine Democrats are denying them the tax cut they deserve.”
Democrats will counter that the NJGOP’s new website — and this entire Corzine-centric mode of attack — is inherently unfair. If only that were true, Save Jerseyans! Actually, if we’re going strictly by who has been in Trenton supporting taxes increases and reckless spending programs for the longest period of time, Buono is actually more culpable for our state’s fiscal mayhem than the Wall Street Wizard.
What is she doing to convince taxpayers otherwise? Given the fact that she hasn’t presented a single alternative to the incumbent’s core policies, the public will naturally assume that a vote for her is a vote for a second Corzine term. They wouldn’t be wrong.
And look at that corzinedemocrats.com clock go tick tick tock… it’s not as if she’s learned her lesson.
So this “Corzine Democrat” theme isn’t really coming out of left field, folks. Buono is! I support any clever efforts to remind voters of it.
