Campaigning Ahead of June 4th Primary, GOP Governor Looks Beyond November, Eyes Larger Implications for National Republican Party

Heatwave be damned, Save Jerseyans.
This is primary season 2013’s final hours, so approximately 100 supporters gathered in historic downtown Mt. Holly on Saturday afternoon to help Governor Chris Christie kick off a multi-stop pre-primary campaign swing through the Garden State.
Arriving fashionably late as is his custom, the Governor stepped out on the Burlington County GOP headquarters’ front stoop looking relaxed, jovial, and a little more trim than the last time many ardent South Jersey Republicans had seen him in person. In his stump speech, Christie took shots at his Democrat challenger by noting the seismic contrast between their ideologies/records but, being as this is a primary push, he doubled down on the need for party unity in the coming months to affect what he believes will be a historic victory.
Governor Christie also did something slightly out-of-character for a polished communicator who habitually tries to the avoid the perception that he’s looking beyond the task at hand, calling on all of those present to help him “redefine this party for the entire country.” Some of you just got a little excited reading that! Others reached for the nearest waste basket…
Here are some highlights from the rally:

He's already redefined it. It's now no different than the democrat party.
