I was pursuing New Jersey’s online papers on Sunday evening, Save Jerseyans, waiting for Game of Thrones to begin and this headline jumped right out at me:
Dog dies from heat in Jersey City after being left on roof, News 12 report says
A poor little Yorkshire Terrier is no longer among us. It breaks my heart as a dog lover. And rest assured, “the owners will likely face charges.”
Meanwhile, on this balmy late-spring afternoon in America, roughly 3,000 children were aborted. Those are also the ones that we actually hear about; statics don’t account for the Gosnell-type clinics operating outside of the purview of the law.
What a world, right? A terrier is mourned by one of the nation’s most highly-circulated state-based dailies but the mass murder of infants takes months to make front page news. Could that be why Adam Levine hates this country? Somehow I doubt it, but it’s certainly be a better justification than whatever was really on his mind at the time.
