Governor Chris Christie began primary season by asking New Jersey Republican voters to “help” him “redefine the party” in light red Burlington County.

Now the general election is in full swing, Save Jerseyans, and the GOP incumbent traveled to the Ironbound section of deep blue Newark, New Jersey on Tuesday to engage in a little retail politics, show off his highest-profile Democrat allies and, for those of us who pay attention to such things, preview his rationale for the Republican nomination in 2016

Barbara Buono, meanwhile, made a rare visit down South while her opponent shook hands in the north, but in typical Babs fashion, didn’t really appear to have prepped for Atlantic City questions in advance of her trip to Atlantic City. Gee, I can’t imagine why the DGA doesn’t want to invest in her…

  2. He´d be a formidable candidate, and I think fiscal conservatives should embrace the prospect of him in 2016. He´s more conservative than our past two nominees, he´s articulate, he´d have the easiest time in a general election, and he´s a proven, decisive leader who has successfully turned the state around.
