Lonegan Talks Sandy, Shutdown on MSNBC

By Matt Rooney | The Save Jersey Blog

Steve Lonegan dropped by Steve Kornacki’s MSNBC “UP” program on Saturday, Save Jerseyans, and he did a pretty decent job of explaining why Democrat leadership hasn’t helped the people of New Jersey. Steve also did a better job than most other Republican candidates out there at the moment discussing both the ObamaCare funding/government shutdown question as well as the bad premises (and broken promises) that gave rise to the Sandy federal aid package.

I’d really and truly like to see Steve start talking more about his personal story, Save Jerseyans; if he was willing to do it and found the money to broadcast it, he could actually give Cory Booker a scare heading into October. Knowledge of the issues clearly isn’t the former mayor’s weakness… ask Steve Kornacki. What’s missing is a personal narrative that would make less-than-ideological voters want to embrace him.
