One of this year’s most closely watched municipal races is in the Monmouth County community of Red Bank, Save Jerseyans, where the embattled county Democrat organization is struggling to preserve a foothold in the GOP-dominated county.
Unsurprisingly, the county Democrats have used any and all tactics to fend off a strong challenge from young Republican Sean Di Somma who is seeking to break up the town’s all-Democrat monopoly in city hall. Allegations concerning a Dallas warrant stemming from a stale traffic fine (h/t MoreMonmouthMusings) represent only the latest attempt by the incumbents’ allies to knee-cap the insurgent challenger.
