As of right now, Save Jerseyans, the NJ GOP can only confirm its gain of one Assembly seat (down in LD1).
Up in the 38th Legislative District, as of last night, the Bergen County clerk is reporting 22,441 votes for incumbent Tim Eustace (D) and 22,705 for his running mate Joseph Lagana (D).
Meanwhile, challenger Joseph Scarpa (R) had accumulated 22,017 votes and Joan Fragala (R) won 21,863. This morning, however, Eustace trails by about 5 dozen votes. They’re still counting provisionals.
It’s uncertain whether Republicans can make up 424 votes.
Be careful reporting the Bergen Clerk results since D38 has at least 1-2 towns in Passaic that are fairly red. http://politics.news12.com/new-jersey/election-re…
Looking there, as of now, it seems Scarpa and Lagana will be heading to Trenton.
