The hits just keep on coming for NJ GOP’ers, Save Jerseyans.
PolitickerNJ‘s reports that Cappola’s somewhat compulsory decision came about, allegedly, “after a book written by Cappola came to light, revealing inflammatory statements that could be interpreted as anti-semitic.”
The shocking news represents a serious setback for Assembly Republicans who are fighting for gains on a limited, pro-incumbent legislative map and who had hoped that LD38, a painfully close fight in 2013, would once again prove winnable.

No time for sulking. Joe Lagana was probably going to be re-elected anyway as an Italian Democrat with a base in a Republican-leaning town (Paramus). Now we can focus, (if we are smart and play the game), on replacing the too-liberal Eustace with DiPisa whose shown courage and independence by denouncing the boneheaded book Cappola wrote. One seat is better than nothing.
