Rooney: “It’s the beginning of a transition”

IMG_8659Monday’s Statewide Republican Event in Atlantic City was historic, Save Jerseyans. And our Blogger-in-Chief Matt Rooney thinks it also represents a turning point in the history of the NJ GOP:

“It’s the beginning of a transition,” said Matt Rooney, a lawyer and conservative blogger who founded SaveJersey.com. “I think there’s definitely a recognition on the part of everyone here that if we’re going to do anything beyond the governor, it’s going to have to be Bramnick or the other Assembly members stepping up and doing it.”

  1. Christie has always done what he sees best for himself. That is why not one Republican beat an incumbent legislator in the last election. It is also why there is no one who looks like his successor to lead the Republican Party in NJ.

  2. Does it ever matter who we want? The county bosses decide that, and then shove them down our throats. That is why turnout is so low. We the people in NJ know they will not work for us. That is why we never get real principled Constitutionalists, and we never will. As long as they have to go through the party bosses first. Does it ever occur to the GOP who the majority of Independents in this state really are? You would be surprised that the majority of them are Conservatives. Running real Conservatives will bring them out, but running unprincipled moderate crony capitalists makes it almost impossible to change the legislature, and the corruption that has ruined this state.
