Peck bows out of early Bergen GOP freeholder contention

By Matthew Gilson | The Save Jersey Blog

terri peckCiting personal concerns, Save Jersey has learned that soap star Terri Peck is dropping her short-lived exploration into a candidacy for freeholder.

Peck has not ruled out a candidacy for other offices in the future according to sources, but with two small children at home did not feel now was the time to undertake the massive commitment needed to run a 70-town behemoth county home to nearly a million people.

Professionally know as Terri Conn, the Park Ridge resident starred as Katie Snyder on the long-running ABC soap As the World Turns.

It is unclear where those who supported her will immediately land in the two-seat nomination fight. Among those fighting for the three slots are incumbent Freeholder Maura DeNicola, former Freeholder John Driscoll, Closter Councilman Bob DiDio who has received the backing of Senator Cardinale, former candidate Dr. Dierdre Paul, and liberty activist James Breheney of Fair Lawn.
