Desperation?
House Democrats staged a sit-in on the House Floor on Wednesday, Save Jerseyans, designed to demand that Speaker Paul Ryan allow a vote on new gun control legislation and, of course, to politicize an act of terrorism.
Among the grandstanders? Congressmen Donald Norcross, a Democrat who represents New Jersey’s First Congressional District, who has taken to Twitter to showcase his participation in the #NoBillNoBreak stunt:
Now: I'm standing with @NancyPelosi as we stage sit-in until we get vote on #gunsafety #NoBillNoBreak #NoFlyNoBuy pic.twitter.com/RTLxgfWJNA

Other New Jersey Democrats have expressed their support for the political theater, including Senator Cory Booker (D-Twitter) and Senator Bob Menendez:
Im here on the floor now for the sit-in I'm The House joining in support of call for background checks. https://t.co/yiTJNGzyDP

Applauding #HouseDems for saying #NoMoreSilence. No more senseless gun violence. It’s time to #DisarmHate.

While this attempt at gaining attention for new gun control legislation is amusing to watch, the sad reality is their efforts to pass these new laws would not have prevented the gunman in the Orlando shooting from obtaining a gun.
