Assembly Republican Leader Jon Bramnick (R-21) and Assemblywoman BettyLou DeCroce (R-26) issued a release on Friday afternoon calling on the Democrat-run Legislature to hold a special session to resolve the indefinitely postponed replenishment debate over the Transportation Trust Fund.

“This is a serious issue and we need to begin discussions in the Legislature today,” said Bramnick (R-Union).

“This cannot wait,” added DeCroce. “We need to come together to fix our roads and bridges and provide relief to taxpayers.”

Both Republicans were among 10 Assembly minority party members who voted for the controversial Christie-backed plan which features the promise of a sales tax cut in exchange for an immediate gas tax hike.
