TRENTON, N.J. — New Jersey isn’t one of America’s most evangelical states, but in an election year, social conservatives from around the region rallied for ‘biblical principles’ in Trenton on Wednesday afternoon.

It’s the latest stop for the Decision America Tour, hosted by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association and, at this leg, the Center for Garden State Families.

The effort is spearheaded by the legendary preacher’s son and successor, Franklin.

His effort represents the ultimate intersection of prayer and politics.

“I pledge to honor God with my vote—supporting, where possible, candidates who will uphold biblical principles, including the sanctity of life and the sacredness of marriage,” the multi-state tour’s website asks participants to pledge.

The Tour isn’t overtly partisan but Franklin Graham is an outspoken supporter of presidential candidate Donald Trump; most recently, he toured flood-ravaged areas of Louisiana with the Republican nominee.
