It’s been a long week for New Jersey’s Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno, Save Jerseyans, as tensions between herself and Chris Christie continue to spill into public view and, to boot, the Governor decided to declare war on the majority of his party over their gas tax opposition.
Facing down mega-rich presumptive Democrat nominee Phil Murphy (D-Goldman Sachs) isn’t looking any easier as this Christie-initiated civil war-of-sorts heats up. Guadagno’s primary opponents (including Asm. Jack Ciattarelli of Somerset County) insist it’s time for new faces on the state-wide ticket given Christie’s many failings as a party leader and deep-seeded popularity across party lines.
Does the NJGOP have a shot under these conditions?
Yes, Guadagno told a gathering of Bergen’s Republican women leaders on Saturday, insisting she’s the one who can get it done….
