Chris Christie didn’t get the Trump Administration job that he wanted (after he didn’t get the presidency he wanted), Save Jerseyans. Old news.
New news? Christie is set to chair/spearhead a federal effort to combat America’s opioid/heroin addiction crisis; the issue has consumed Christie’s final year in office back here in New Jersey, arguably (but not really arguably) at the expense of other pressing affordability challenges crushing Garden State taxpayers. It’s nevertheless a fresh opportunity for the Governor to rehabilitate his national profile.
Christie’s Wednesday began with a morning TV show media blitz (the Today Show at 7:00, Good Morning America at 7:05, and then Fox & Friends at 7:30). His final stop will be an 11 am roundtable with Prsident Trump on the opioid epidemic. Christie did his Fox interview from the White House lawn.
He discussed other stuff, too, including his relationship with Jared Kushner and the collapse of AHCA:
