Remember: Phil Murphy Wants to Repeat Seattle’s Failed Min Wage Experiment in N.J.

Phil!

Our Democrat friends fancy themselves members of “the science party,” Save Jerseyans.

The GOP should start countering that it’s THE math party.

More dramatic examples of liberal economic engineering in action (see Illinois and Venezuela) aren’t getting the coverage they deserve from the mainstream media guys and gals, but the more discrete examples also speak volumes about the Left’s aversion to the black-and-white rules of mathematics and the awful ensuing consequences for almost everyone involved.

Repeat after me: Leftist economics fails EVERYWHERE it’s tried, every single time.

They fail without fail.

Take Seattle….

We could’ve all predicted – and by ‘could have’ I mean DID predict – that the coffee-slurping, rain-beset Left Coast urban center’s experiment with a phased-in $15 minimum wage would end badly.

Sure enough, on Monday, the University of Washington released a study concluding that the minimum wage hikes are killing Seattle’s low income jobs AND reducing shifts for those who haven’t lost their jobs

The killer cuts? $125 a month, per worker. That’s real money.

Seattle’s elites hurt exactly the same people they tried to help.

Minimum wages = minimum employment.

In light of this info, is anyone on the Left willing to let their calculators trump talking points?

Nope, and that includes Phil Murphy (D-Goldman Sachs), too, the 2017 Democrat gubernatorial nominee. He plans on repeating Seattle’s mistakes on a state-wide level here in New Jersey, vocally advocating for a $15 minimum wage despite refusing to pay his own campaign workers that much

To the best of my knowledge? The rules of mathematics aren’t any different in Seattle than Newark, Trenton, Toms River or Fair Lawn, Save Jerseyans.

Someone needs to tell Phil Murphy before it’s too late for the Garden State’s workforce.
