MENDHAM, N.J. – Former Mendham Township Deputy Mayor Rick Blood resigned in February after comparing illegal immigrants to raccoons.
On Monday night, former Lieutenant Governor Kim Guadagno was on hand to swear in his replacement on township committee: her ex-campaign staffer, Sarah Neibart.
Neibart, a Young Republican operative in her mid-twenties, presently serves as deputy campaign manager for Republican U.S. Senate candidate Bob Hugin.
After a brief stint with Koch Companies Public Sector LLC, Neibart worked on Chris Christie’s presidential campaign as part of his ballot access team. She subsequently joined Scott Garrett’s campaign manager.
Blood was previously appointed in December 2017 to fill the unexpired term of Chris Baumann.
Neibart will NOW fill Blood’s OWN unexpired term, making her one of New Jersey’s youngest local public officials and possibly the state’s youngest current female municipal official.
