TRENTON, N.J. — Trenton still hasn’t passed a budget on this hazy, humid Sunday afternoon owing to a reported technical error, proving our government can’t even screw over its own citizens efficiently and competently.
So why, exactly, are we about to send more tax dollars to these people?
Assembly Republican Budget Officer John DiMaio asked that very question from the floor on Sunday as the Democrat Majority’s aides scrambled to get their house in order, calling state government an “insatiable” beast and drawing parallels between New Jersey’s trajectory under total Democrat control and the current plight of California, the state which Governor Phil Murphy frequently cites as the model for his policies.
