N.J. Hispanic pastors endorse Hugin’s bid to unseat Menendez

PASSAIC, N.J. ─ Republican U.S. Senate candidate Bob Hugin continued to pick up steam with his Hispanic outreach efforts on Monday, accepting the endorsement of La Alianza Civica Ministerial, a Passaic County Ministers’ Alliance.

“I’m honored to receive the endorsement from La Alianza Civica Ministerial,” said Hugin in a statement. “Today’s discussion reaffirmed that the best way to serve the people of New Jersey is by bringing people together to work constructively to solve problems. New Jersey needs an independent leader who brings people from both sides of the aisle together to deliver solutions for the people of New Jersey. This is the approach I will bring to Washington as New Jersey’s next Senator and I look forward to working with Hispanic leaders on behalf of our communities.”

“Bob Hugin is a man of honor and integrity, and we need a leader like him working on behalf of the people of New Jersey in Washington,” said Reverend David Rios, President of the Alliance. “We’re proud to endorse him for U.S. Senate and look forward to working with him to improve the quality of life for all New Jerseyans.”

Hugin accepted the endorsement of a major bellwether Latino alliance last week.

Two consecutive polls have shown Hugin trailing Menendez by a slim 5-point margin.
