WASHINGTON, D.C. — Cory Booker is competing for the Democrats’ 2020 presidential nomination.
To win? He needs to win the love of the Left away from potential opponents including Bernie Sander and Elizabeth Warren by saying progressively crazier things (e.g. “Medicare for all”!).
He did just that on Monday, declaring his support for an “opportunity account” program whereby taxpayers would give low-income kids $50,000 for a major purchase like a college degree or a house.
