Even the liberal Washington Post felt compelled to criticize Congressman-elect Andy Kim for his campaign season puffery and lies concerning the Democrat’s national security resume.
A slim majority of NJ-03 voters didn’t care. Because Trump.
Now the election is over. Kim is going to Washington. But the “off-season” hasn’t swayed Kim to stop telling tall tales:
The first time I met Secretary Mattis ten years ago he pulled me aside before our meeting at the State Dept to ask me if it was okay for his youngest staff to sit in on the meeting. He told me they were as critical to his team as anyone else. (1/2) https://t.co/YNjRQdpivg

He wanted to ensure they had opportunities to develop as leaders. That moment stuck with me. What his actions showed was that all of our service men and women no matter rank or any other factor deserve our deepest gratitude & respect. I thank him for his life of service.(2/2)

The team for outgoing Congressman Tom MacArthur wasn’t convinced:
So, let me get this straight…10 yrs ago a decorated General asked YOUR permission to let his staff attend a meeting at the State Dept BEFORE you even started working there in Sept 2009, according to @rizzoTK? Got it. @MattRooneyNJ @FrankALuna @NJGOP @NRCC @BillSpadea @wildstein

Can’t make it up…oh wait, yea you can. Is there one person on the planet who can picture Gen. Mattis asking a 26 yr old staffer permission for anything? Come onnnnnnnn, mannnnn.
