LD8: Leftist candidate under fire for leaving his dog outside in sub-freezing weather

MT. HOLLY, N.J. – It’s been said that politicians looking for a friend should get a dog.

One South Jersey Democrat politician is weathering an attack from his Republican rivals for leaving his own pooch outside in the freezing cold.

“Mark Natale wants to be our assemblyman… but what kind of person is he? [Mark] Natale left his small dog outside in sub-freezing temperatures… for hours,” reads the text of a GOP web ad which included police web cam footage.

Natale is running for an 8th Legislative District Assembly seat in what’s considered one of this year’s most competitive races.
