HOLMDEL, N.J. – Tuesday marked the seventh anniversary of Superstorm Sandy’s devastating 2012 landfall along the New Jersey coastline.
Assemblywoman Serena DiMaso (R-13) took to Twitter on Tuesday to reflect on what she saw during aerial and on-the-ground inspections in the storm’s aftermath.

“Walking the streets or flying over to see the devastation was heartbreaking, to say the least, but my faith in our beautiful community never faltered,” said DiMaso who, at the time, was an elected Monmouth County freeholder. “I always knew we were #StrongerThanTheStorm #LDRocks.”
Monmouth and Ocean counties absorbed the full brunt of Sandy’s wrath though the entire coastline – as well as in-land communities around the state – faced flooding, power outages, structural damage and gasoline shortages.
