N.J. unemployment claims for 2020 now exceed 1 million

TRENTON, N.J. – The New Jersey Department of Labor (NJDOL) announced on Thursday that the state has now seen 930,000 new unemployment claims since March 15th. That massive number was fueled by an additional 71,966 new unemployment claims for the week ending April 25th.

The state’s grim total for 2020 now stands at 1 million new individual claims.
