Cory Booker (D-Twitter) can be counted on to make a spectacle of the proceedings (and himself) whenever an American president nominates a U.S. Supreme Court justice. He declared himself Spartacus during the Kavanaugh hearings. He went off of “white supremacy” during the Barrett hearings.
He was gunning for another Oscar nod on Monday for Day #1 of the Ketanji Brown Jackson hearings, but New Jersey’s junior Democrat senator was decidedly unSpartacusy in his temperment.
Happy, friendly, emotionally raw… joyous!
And completely disinterested in any substantive inquiry concerning Joe Biden’s first nomination to the highest court in the land.
Behold the transformation:
Sen. @CoryBooker: "Behind you, in your family is your daughter Leila, and when she was 11 years old – I love this – she wrote a letter to President Obama urging him to nominate her mother, you, to the United States Supreme Court. Wow!" pic.twitter.com/hxaCD4MS6e
