N.J. Dems target LIV Golf but still haven’t ended Russian pension investments

Our friend Joe Schilp appropriately roasted New Jersey Democrats for their hypocrisy concerning LIV Golf in a new Save Jersey op-ed. Click here if you missed it. How can they complain about Trump hosting the Saudi-affiliated golf tour while remaining silent while Joe Biden begs for Saudi oil? Right?

Here’s another notable item to file in the ever-expanding New Jersey Democrat “hypocrisy” catalog:

On Sunday, NJ.com noted that Trenton has yet to divest itself of Russian pension investments six months after the Murphy Administration and its Democrat allies pledged to do so…

“When Russian President Vladimir Putin marched troops into Ukraine on Feb. 24, Gov. Phil Murphy and state lawmakers in New Jersey quickly responded, enacting several measures within two weeks of the invasion, all aimed at severing financial ties with Russia and its ally Belarus. Murphy, along with state leaders from both parties, said it was important to move swiftly in a show of solidarity with Ukraine. But the Murphy administration has struggled to make headway, and very little has changed nearly six months later.”

Everything is politics.

The Ukrainian flag emojis, lapel ribbons and anti-Putin rhetoric were and are about as sincere as Phil Murphy’s ever-evolving hairline.

Virtue-signaling, specifically, doesn’t require a demonstration of good faith or actual achieved results. These are some of the clearest examples you’ll find, and in 2022 that’s truly saying something.
