If you think Liz Cheney was scraping the bottom of the barrel with her father’s Wyoming primary ad, Save Jerseyans, then you don’t even know the half of it.
None other than Rep. Tom Malinowski (D, NJ-07) is one of two Democrats appears in ads supportive of Cheney’s primary campaign. The other is Rep. Dean Phillips of Minnesota.
That’s right. She has Democrats running ads in Wyoming for a Republican Primary. How the mighty have fallen…
“Liz Cheney and I don’t agree on everything,” Malinowski offers in the ad currently running on Facebook. “But we’re on the same side today fighting for a country where we settle our differences by voting, not violence.”
The ad is paid for by “Wyomingites Defending Freedom and Democracy” which supports Cheney’s doomed renomination effort.
Cheney’s own campaign was previously caught sending Democrat intructions concerning how to switch parties to vote in the GOP primary scheduled for next week.
Malinowski’s use of his own time is interesting. He faces his own difficult reelection bid this November in New Jersey after his district became considerably more Republican in redistricting. The far-Left Democrat who votes with Nancy Pelosi almost all of the time is also currently under active investigation for ethics violations pertaining to undisclosed stock trades.
Liz Cheney has all the best people on board, doesn’t she?
For Tom’s part, perhaps he’s hoping for her to reciprocate the favor with a Cheney for Malinowski ad or fundraiser? Weird times, folks. Very strange.
The most likely scenario: Cheney gets a weekend show on CNN and Malinowski is a regular guest. He’ll have plenty of time on his hands come January.
