Halloween inflation (and shrinkflation) hits America’s neighborhoods

Smaller candy bars, insanely priced costumes, and crazily expensive decorations.

Americans are about to experience one of the most costly Halloweens on record thanks to the inflation (and shrinkflation) ravaging the country’s collective bottom line. The cost of candy alone is 13% higher than it was for Halloween 2021; that’s the single biggest annual increase of all time.

Axios published an overview of the most popular candy and the corresponding price jumps.

The worst rise: Snickers is up 14% from last year.

The least worst (but still terrible): Butterfinger – which is underrated – rose 7%.

Want to pick a pumpkin? Be prepared to sell a kidney since the cost of the popular seasonal orange fruit (yes, it’s a fruit!) is 8% higher.

Everything Joe Biden touches turns to shit, Save Jerseyans. Even children’s holidays.
