Murphy pitches car theft initiative days after labeling crime-concerned Republicans racist

It’s hard to avoid tripping yourself up when everything is a virtue-signal, Save Jerseyans. You’re guaranteed to get your stream crossed.

Last week, Governor Phil Murphy made ridiculously stupid accusation that Republicans’ focus on crime during Election 2022 is rooted in racism.

This week on Election Eve no less, he held a presser with the New Jersey State Police and the New Jersey Attorney General to announce a new initiative to combat a surge in car thefts. There was an attempted car theft at Phil’s neighbor’s home back in September! Approximately 14,000 have been stolen from the state’s many streets over the course of 2022 and there’s still almost two full months left to go.

He’s addressing it now… why? After all this time?

Murphy says his new proposals including a proposed persistent violator statute “will strengthen this administration’s efforts to reverse the uptick in vehicle theft we have witnessed over the past few years. However, we also ask that our residents take additional measures to protect themselves from auto theft,” the Governor continued. “If you cannot park your car in a closed and locked garage, make sure that your vehicle is locked and that the key fob is with you.”

You know would would be very helpful additional measure?

NOT accusing the local leaders and average citizens who’ve been screaming about this problem for months of being racists. Just a suggestion!
