Speaker Kevin McCarthy announced that he’s authorized a formal impeachment inquiry into Joe Biden and his son’s super shady business dealings, Save Jerseyans, and Congressman Jeff Van Drew (R, NJ-02) of South Jersey is in full agreement with the leadership decision to forge ahead.
“The allegations are staggering and the evidence is mounting against Joe Biden,” Van Drew tweeted following the Speaker’s formal remarks. “I fully supported an impeachment inquiry months ago, and I fully support it now.”
McCarthy’s move comes after Capitol Hill Republicans spent their summer compiling a compelling body of evidence that then-Vice President Biden played an active role in the family’s overseas influence-for-cash operation.
New Jersey Globe correspondent Joey Fox confirmed that Chris Smith is also on board with the inquiry while Tom Kean Jr. (R, NJ-07) declined to weigh in.
