Everyone in this year’s N.J. Democrat Senate primary is a professional victim

This country was built predominantly by people who were mistreated somewhere else but decided to make a fresh start here, Save Jerseyans. Immigrants from all of the world who refused to be lifelong victims, opting instead for taking the reins of their own respective destinies and reaching for the stars in the United States. There’s nothing more American.

And then there is this year’s New Jersey Democrat primary for U.S. Senate.

Every last one of these assholes is an unapologetic, shameless, professional-level victim.

The most recent example is Tammy Murphy, a gazillionaire white lady by marriage to New Jersey’s incumbent Democrat governor, Phil Murphy. Look up “privilege” in the dictionary and you’ll find a photo of Tammy (probably sporting some insanely tacky and borderline inappropriate attire like fishnet stockings). She spends tax dollars like a drunken sailor. But she’s somehow a victim, because it suits her present quest for the Democrat nomination. Her campaign is reportedly complaining about sexism by arguing she’s being held “to a higher standard” than men, and Phil is lending his own voice to bolster the narrative.

“I bet you if she were my husband, it’d be a different story,” Governor Murphy told monthly call-in show.

The claim is all the more absurd when you consider that Tammy oversees the mega-wealthy power couple’s professional women’s soccer team which has been accused of fostering a toxic environment for its female players. Murphy was also referenced in a recent lawsuit in which she was accused of refusing to let nursing state troopers pump during their breaks. And those are just HER issues, folks; we’re not even going to get into the Edna Mahan “culture of rape” debacle at the all-female prison or Katie Brennan’s allegations of sexual assault, all of which transpired on her husband’s watch.

Then there’s Andy Kim (D, NJ-03) who has been in Washington since January 2019 but whose only notable “accomplishment” was being photographed picking up trash in a blue suit after the January 6th Capitol Hill riot. Not content to own the victim card himself, the Korean American congressman played it for his then-5 year old son by tweeting about how the boy was allegedly called “Chinese” by another kid. He also loudly complained about allegedly being banned from working on Korean issues while working at the State Department due to his last name being Korean.

Last but not least? Bob Menendez, the embattled and now twice-indicted incumbent who had the audacity to blame his latest legal woes on racism.

“Those behind this campaign simply cannot accept that a first-generation Latino American from humble beginnings could rise to be a U.S. Senator and serve with honor and distinction,” Menendez declared back in September. “Even worse, they see me as an obstacle in the way of their broader political goals.” Did these secret racist conspirators at the DOJ plant to the gold bars, too? Pretty damn impressive!

None of that is serious. America, on the other hand, finds itself at a very serious crossroads. We need men and women in the U.S. Senate who embody the traditional can do spirit which once made that formerly-revered body – and the nation as a whole – the envy of people everywhere. We need leaders who know how lucky they are to be here, and there, and work tirelessly not to create new victims but extend the opportunities offered by America and Americanism to all of its citizens.

I hate to be the one to tell you, but there is no such man or woman (or victim) in the 2024 New Jersey Democrat primary field.
