Democrats didn’t get the answers they wanted today on Capitol Hill.
“That is not what the report says,” Special Counsel Robert Hurr told Congressman Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) on Tuesday during a hearing convened to discuss his report on Joe Biden’s handling classified materials. “The report is not an exoneration. That word does not appear in my report.”
Congressman Van Drew (R, NJ-02) also had a crack at Hur as Republicans probed his decision to not recommend that Biden be charged.
“An example, again, of the Justice Department being weaponized against conservatives,” Van Drew concluded.
Hur did conclude in his investigation report that Biden “willfully retained and disclosed classified materials” and described the aging president as “an elderly man with a poor memory.”
