Phil Murphy is “monitoring” the Middle East. He should monitor his own incompetent president.

Thoughts. Prayers. Tiny little Israeli flags affixed to social media pages and platforms.

Lots of promises to “standing with” from thousands of miles away.

Here’s my personal favorite, Save Jerseyans…

“We are closely monitoring the situation in the Middle East,” Governor Phil Murphy posted on X around dinnertime Saturday as Iranian projectiles and drones wizzed towards the nation of Israel. “New Jersey stands with the people of Israel and supports their defense against these attacks from Iran.”

So what is Phil monitoring, exactly?

Have there been any credible threats lodged against our home state coming out of all of this?

If not… then what’s the plan of action from a domestic governor amidst an international crisis? Will he brine the roads? That’s his usual go-to (even when it’s 60-degrees outside).

Of course Phil Murphy isn’t alone in offering lazy, silly-bordering-on-stupid responses to disasters and crises in order to garner clicks and attention. What would be more helpful, of course, is some Democrat acknowledgment that the incumbent Democrat president’s recent public castigation of Israel for his conduct of the war with Hamas, initial decision to unfreeze $6 billion in Iranian assets, and general weakness on the world stage are all directly responsible for this latest dangerous escalation in the Middle East.

Said more simply and directly: Joe Biden’s incompetence has catalyzed the most dangerous geopolitical conditions since the Cuban Missile Crisis.

Even more simply: Phil should monitor his own damn president.

He could start by pressuring Biden to step aside before he gets us all killed.

All Democrats should. You’ll recall that they couldn’t shut up about Russiagate which, of course, turned out to be a hoax. When a compromised president, who likely accepted bribes from foreign actors, is actively leading us closer to World War III than we’ve been in decades? They don’t want to talk about it because politics. No one who knows how these guys and gals operate should be surprised, but casually-observing voters need to understand the character – or lack thereof – of the current crop of Democrats who lead us.

I’m praying for Israel, too. Most of all I’m praying for new American leadership in January 2025 before it’s too late for the world. It might already be too late, frankly, but giving up isn’t exactly an option when you (and your children) are in full view of the abyss.
