Trump will return to Wildwood, N.J. for May 11th rally

Donald Trump is returning to the Jersey Shore for Election 2024.

On Monday, the community news blog Wildwood Video Archives reported that the city had “approved a permit for a May 11 event at 7:30 p.m. on the Lincoln Avenue beach.” Trump’s participation was later confirmed by the New Jersey Globe.

Trump came to Wildwood in January 2020 for a rally with Congressman Jeff Van Drew who had only weeks earlier made national headlines by switching parties.

No Republican presidential nominee has carried the Garden State since 1988, but a recent poll found Trump trailing Joe Biden by only 5-points. Wildwood, a legendary beach resort, sits inside of the extended Philly media market, a key television advertisement battleground for the upcoming national contest and a favorite vacation spot for Delaware Valley tourists…
