As if the NJ GOP’s choice of venue for its first-in-a-decade statewide event wasn’t evidence enough, LD2 GOP Assembly hopeful Will Pauls drove the point home in voicing his opposition to a Democrat-spearheaded North Jersey casino push to Save Jersey:

I live in North Jersey and love Atlantic City! I’ll always be a regular visitor to AC but if the Democrats up here get their way I doubt there will be much left to visit in AC and I’m just not that big of a gambler to support any North Jersey casino.
Don’t care….don’t gamble. As long as it doesn’t rely on public money I don’t care. Take for instance Meadowlands Racetrack.
I am opposed to the government supported monopoly that protects AC gambling. If there is a market for more casinos, the market should decide.
