Guadagno Easily Wins Ocean County Convention

Lt. Governor Kim Guadagno has notched a third county line in her quest for the 2017 NJ GOP gubernatorial nomination, Save Jerseyans, and this is a biggie albeit an expected win.

Here’s tonight’s vote total from the Ocean County Republican Convention in Toms River:

Guadagno – 153
Ciattarelli – 8
Rullo – 6
Singh – 1

County GOP powerhouse George Gilmore was an early supporter of the LG’s campaign to succeed Chris Christie who, uncoincidentally, isn’t as close to Gilmore are he used to be. The unofficial dean of the state Republican chairmen is laying low as of late as a federal tax investigation plays out.

A fifth GOP hopeful, Steven Rogers of Nutley, didn’t compete for the line.
