Murphy tells Americans to “shove their ‘thoughts and prayers'” after recent shootings

If he was trying to offend religious Americans and impress the increasingly atheistic Democratic base? He likely succeeded, Save Jerseyans.

On Monday, following a spate of “mass shootings” widely-covered by the media, Governor Phil Murphy went on an unhinged Twitter rant in which he mocked the power of prayer and, going further, invited those who offer their prayers following gun-related tragedies to “shove their ‘thoughts and prayers.'”

“Cue the expected and pitiful expressions of ‘thoughts and prayers’ from those held so powerfully in the grip of the gun lobby,” tweeted Murphy. “I think every single one of them knows where they can shove their ‘thoughts and prayers.’”

Of course, there’s more problems with Murphy’s rant than the tastelessness of his mockery of prayer and people who rely upon it to get through tough times.

New Jersey is currently experiencing a crime wave and the Murphy Administration’s response (or lack thereof) has been roundly criticized by local officials. To make matters worse, the Murphy Administration continue to release dangerous criminals on Covid-19 credits AFTER the Governor’s health emergency order was terminated. Three released inmates were later accused of murder and approximately 10% reoffended.

New Jersey already has some of the toughest gun laws of any state in the Union. Nevertheless, our capital city of Trenton remains a shooting gallery.

You and I are wise to the joke. By focusing on violence elsewhere, Governor Murphy and his Democrat allies hope to distract from their own failures back home in the Garden State.

If the current polls are accurate?

Murphy Democrats running in 2022 are going to need all of the “thoughts and prayers” they can muster.
