DEVELOPING: Christie Issues Line-Item Vetoes; Shaves Almost $1 Billion From Bloated FY 2012 Budget

The post-veto budget comes in at $29.7 Billion, Save Jerseyans. Democrats’ final product totaled $30.6 Billion. The FY 2011 budget was $29.4 Billion… what could justify a $1.2 BILLION increase in their warped liberal minds is well beyond me!

Governor Christie believes his cuts make the budget “constitutional” since the Democrats had wildly overestimated revenues in the coming year.

A summary of the State Legislature’s pre-veto budget is HERE. Capitol Quickies has a pdf up setting forth the Governor’s line-item vetoes HERE.

  1. He cut only social programs, school aid and environmental programs. Yeah…a real man of the people. He hurt not only the middle class, but the poor and women also. He's done nothing for our high unemployment and our property taxes are still going up. Thank God that he'll only be a one term Governor.
