REPORT: Stender won’t run again in 2015

By Matt Rooney | The Save Jersey Blog

The pressure is paying off, Save Jerseyans.

But a promise to not run again ain’t good enough. Not if everything being reported about Asm. Linda Stender, her husband, and their interaction with Habitat for Humanity is accurate. She refuses to talk openly and honestly on the subject.

In any event, PolitickerNJ is citing a source close to Stender as saying that she’s not running for reelection to the Assembly this fall.

Again, not good enough. As our friend Monmouth County Deputy Freeholder Director Serena Dimaso told Art Gallagher, “There are thousands of people not back in their homes yet and hundreds of people working hard to find resources to take care of those people. For an elected official to unscrupulously attempt to gain the system is a disgrace.” All while, I might add, she was complaining about Gov. Christie’s response to New Jerseyans rendered homeless by Hurricane Sandy.

Explain yourself satisfactorily or start packing, Assemblywoman. Now.

BTW – LD22 encompasses portions of Middlesex, Somerset and Union counties: Clark, Dunellen, Fanwood, Green Brook, Linden, Middlesex, North Plainfield, Plainfield, Rahway, Scotch Plains, and Winfield. The only announced GOP contender for what would be an open seat is Bo Vastine of Scotch Plains.

  1. where is Mantoloking Ray on this. Wheres his stupid cowbell and loud mouth on this Hurricane Sandy Savage?

  2. I want official misconduct charges. Where is the democratic leadership’s vigorous investigation like they did with traffic on a bridge, that always had traffic?
