Christie, confirming June announcement, ramps up GOP’s internal PATRIOT Act debate on Fox & Friends

Agree with him or not, Save Jerseyans, when you watch Gov. Christie on Fox & Friends this morning continuing the Republican Party’s mini-civil war over the fate of the PATRIOT Act, you can appreciate why his people still think there’s a place for him in the race against all conventional logic and wisdom (and a lot of early, ugly poll numbers).

No one makes this particular argument as powerfully as him.

And then there we his comments about President Obama’s not-so “red line” in Syria:

  1. Look no further than the massive infastructure in Utah to house all of Americans personal information. This is being done through the so called Patriot Act. The info is used by the government for their own purposes when ever they see fit.It has become their weapon against we the people and is used to blackmail reporters, whistleblowers, and even congress. It needs to go. Christie is dead wrong. He is never on the side of Freedom,Liberty, or the Constitution. I don’t think he has met an ammendment he wouldn’t like to change or disregard. And If Christie was more of a supporter of the 2nd ammendment we wouldn’t need it in the first place. Once again coming from a guy who believes in big Daddy government telling the stupid people to shut up and get out of the way, freedom be damned.

  2. So wait this guy comes out against everything for NJ residents to protect themselves as the AG, moves to Governor and still believes NJ residents have zero right to protecting themselves outside of their homes yet claims the Patriot Act is needed. Someone should ask him how much data the NJSP Fusion Center collects.
