Christie on Lautenberg: He’s full of hot air

Save Jerseyeans, your governor has shown that it’s not just New Jersey state politicians that he’s willing to take on.  From an article in The Hill, it’s noted that when asked about Senator Frank Lautenberg’s criticism of his decision to cancel the Hudson river tunnel project, Governor Christie remarked, “All he knows how to do is blow hot air.”  He then added, “So I don’t really care what Frank Lautenberg has to say about much of anything.”

Last month, Senator Lautenberg started the fight by calling the Governor’s decision to halt the tunnel project, “One of the biggest public policy blunders in New Jersey’s history.”  Governor Christie cancelled the project after learning it would cost nearly $2.5 billion more than originally planned, and that New Jersey would be stuck having to foot the bill.

The quote from our governor came from a recent profile published in New York Magazine, which highlights Christie’s accomplishments and recent surge in popularity.
