It’s been a very full week of remembrance for our state as we remember 746 murdered New Jerseyans. A pleasant by-product of these events has been a renewed sense of unity, however temporary, for our politically divided nation.
Of course, it didn’t take 9/11 to bring Governor Chris Christie and Essex County Executive Joe DiVincezo together. They were already united on pension reform to the dismay of Joe D’s Democrat colleagues. The pair buddied up again at Tuesday’s dedication of a September 11th memorial in West Orange’s Eagle Rock reservation.
